MythicMirror / Product framework
Campbell & Jung, made human.
A practical storytelling framework for the myth reveal: clear enough to guide the product, careful enough to preserve a user's agency.
Download the Markdown briefThe intent
MythicMirror is a creative self-reflection experience. Campbell's journey structure shapes the movement of the experience; Jung-inspired archetypal language gives users a symbolic vocabulary for a chapter of life. Neither is used as a diagnosis, prediction, or validated psychological assessment.
The journey
The reveal follows an ordinary chapter, a call, resistance, a threshold, a trial, a gift, and a return. The user is never told who they truly are. They are offered a story pattern to keep, revise, or set aside.
The mirror
Persona names the role a person wears in public. Shadow names an overextended strength rather than a defect. Gift names a practical capacity. Individuation names the ongoing work of making a life that feels more integrated and chosen.
Question mapping
Each question has a narrative job.

| What do people come to you for? | Gift and social role | The contribution they are known for |
| What feels alive right now? | Call to adventure | The present invitation |
| Which force draws you in? | Elemental symbol | Visual atmosphere and crest language |
| When the path disappears… | Threshold response | How they meet uncertainty |
| What role keeps returning? | Archetypal pattern | The archetype foundation |
| What courage are you learning? | Resistance and growth edge | The next threshold |
| Which symbol feels closest? | Personal symbol | Sigil and portrait motif |
| What do you want to leave behind? | Shadow invitation | What a gift may be carrying too heavily |
| What could the next chapter make possible? | Return with a gift | Purpose and future-facing language |
| Where do you feel most like yourself? | Chosen environment | World-building and visual setting |
| What are you ready to call in? | Commitment | A voluntary real-world quest |
Guardrails
Reflection, never a verdict.
- Use provisional, chapter-based language: “Your responses suggest…” and “Consider whether this feels useful.”
- Describe shadow as a strength under pressure, never as a defect or hidden truth.
- Make every quest voluntary, practical, and safe to resize or decline.
- Do not claim to reveal unconscious truth, trauma causes, destiny, diagnoses, or future events.
- Do not present the experience as therapy, medical or mental-health advice, or a scientifically validated assessment.
Product implications
Story coherence is the product.
01
The free reveal gives an archetype, a short reflection, and a shareable identity card that invites curiosity without claiming certainty.
02
The Cinematic Mythic Reveal uses the same arc for the portrait, sigil, written legend, and 15-second vertical video: chapter, call, archetype, gift and shadow, then quest.
03
The paid experience goes deeper through original symbolic composition and story interpretation, not through generic image generation or psychological claims.
